Youth in India becoming job creator: PM Narendra Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with young entrepreneurs who have made a mark in start-ups and innovation. He asked them about their experience in running start ups.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the youth in India is becoming job creator and that the government is committed to harnessing india's demographic dividend.

The Prime Minister spoke of the three C's - capital, courage, and connecting with people - which is required to excel in start ups.


Commenting on the widening range of start ups coming up in different areas, he said that it is no longer limited to digital and tech.

On their part, the entrepreneurs talked about the ease of doing business including filing patents and reduction in time.

An entrepreneur from Bangalore said that the government's Start Up programme helped them to interact with leading manufacturers.

A fund of funds has been created by the government for youngsters to innovate and ideate, the Prime Minister said.

He also said that India has distinguished itself in the global startup eco-system.
