Will have to work in PPP to make vaccine available to all: Piyush Goyal
“Will have to work in PPP (public private partnership) to make a vaccine available to all. It can’t be left to the government alone or the private sector… can’t be the responsibility of just a few,” he said at an event organised by CII.

“Will have to work in PPP (public private partnership) to make a vaccine available to all. It can’t be left to the government alone or the private sector… can’t be the responsibility of just a few,” he said at an event organised by CII.
The minister said the government will move forward with like-minded and well-meaning institutions for the same.
“Our homegrown vaccine is progressing at a rapid speed,” he said, adding that the phase three of the trials in collaboration with the National Institute of Virology and the Indian Council of Medical Research will hopefully yield “good results”.
Emphasising on democratic distribution of vaccines to all in the country, Goyal said: “Ensuring vaccines are available at an affordable price to all, including less developed countries and poor, is going to be a collective responsibility of us all”.
Traditional medicine is another area which is going to work as an immunity booster and help the world citizens build up immunity against such pandemics, Goyal said.
He also said that startups will help in bringing cost effective healthcare solutions at affordable rates and that India would become the innovator and healthcare provider of the world.
“This common attempt to find a vaccine has really brought all of us together. The spirit of a common purpose will help us survive, adapt and enable us to overcome the serious pandemic the world is facing,” he said.
On Aatmanirbhar Bharat, Goyal said there has been an attempt by the government to bring self-reliance and “we have all experienced the transformational change the country is moving towards”.
