KOLKATA: Mamata Banerjee's government will complete two years in office on May 20 and two days before that the government on Saturday announced its draft industrial policy to attract investment and to give incentives to the new entrepreneurs.

Industry Minister Partha Chatterjee told reporters that the government was keen to develop industrial park and industrial hub on PPP model.

"We have also incorporated in our draft policy the issues of land allocation and several incentive schemes which we will be offering to the industrialists who will come in our state for the purpose of setting up their units," Chatterjee said. He also pointed out that before drafting the new policy, his department had reviewed and studied industrial policies of several states which have flourished themselves by setting up industrial units. Chatterjee said that the state government was open to suggestions from various chambers and industries ''and we will incorporate those, if found practical, in the final industry policy''.

The government will soon publish a document on this new industry policy, Chatterjee added.
