VRS for Devgiri textile mill: CM

MUMBAI: Voluntary Retirement Scheme on the lines of Gujarat pattern should be implemented for the workers of Aurangabad-based Devgiri textile mill, the chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh said here on Friday. An agreement to this effect should be signed with the employees'' association, Deshmukh directed the concerned officials, an official release said. A sum of Rs 23 crore would be needed if VRS benefits were given to the mill workers, it added.
