Venkaiah Naidu says government committed to reforms, crucial bills to get a push
VISAKHAPATNAM:The Centre will continue with reforms to accelerate India’s growth, opposition’s efforts to stall key legislations such as the Goods and Services Tax notwithstanding, urban development and parliamentary affairs minister M Venkaiah Naidu said.

"The government is very keen, that is why we are pushing one reform after another. I can assure you that in the coming days, the Real Estate (Regulation & Development) Bill and GST, both are going to become a reality, because the entire country wants it and it will accelerate growth," Naidu said.

Speaking at the Partnership Summit organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry in Visakhapatnam, the minister further said, "I can assure you the government will accelerate reform. We are committed.. There is a growing confidence everywhere. Centre and states are working like Team India. We have proper climate. ... You (industry) are all welcome to invest."

On Sunday, finance minister Arun Jaitley had said at the summit that the government would continue with the reforms, which it failed to pursue in the recent months, with "single-minded focus" to increase investment and growth and it could not afford to lose direction.
