The Uttaranchal government is looking for long term partnerships with the private sector in the key identified thrust areas of bio diversity, IT, power, tourism, healthcare and infrastructure.

CHANDIGARH: The Uttaranchal government is looking for long term partnerships with the private sector in the key identified thrust areas of bio diversity, IT, power, tourism, healthcare and infrastructure.
This was stated by Dr R S Tolia, chief secretary, Uttaranchal while addressing an interactive session with CEOs from CIIs Northern Region Council in Dehradun today.
Infrastructure has been identified as the core thrust area and improving overall connectivity is the crux for achieving developmental targets. Transparency in dealings, keenness to innovate; enabling regulatory framework, e-governance, a young, lean, forward looking and fast moving bureaucracy are some of the key advantages that the state offers to the prospective investors, said Dr Tolia.
He added that the state government was committed to providing an investor-friendly environment.
