NEW DELHI: Government today "strictly prohibited" use of the 'Make in India' logo without its prior permission.

"Use of the Make in India logo is strictly prohibited without permission of DIPP ( Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion," the department said.

On September 25, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched 'Make in India' campaign and its logo.

Silhouette of a lion on the move, made of cogs, symbolising manufacturing and strength is the logo of 'Make in India'.

Launching his government's ambitious project to make India a manufacturing hub, Modi had promised effective and easy governance to help achieve high growth and creation of jobs.
