LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh government on Tuesday tabled a tax-free budget amounting to Rs 1,12,472.72 crore for the financial year 2008-2009 in the state Vidhan Sabha.
The budget estimates a receipt of Rs 1,10,827.87 crore and an expenditure of Rs 1,12,472.72 crore. The budget was tabled by Minister for Finance Lalji Verma.
The main opposition Samajwadi Party and the BJP boycotted the budget speech.
