UP govt hikes DA of industrial workers

Uttar Pradesh government has increased the DA payable to industrial workers by Rs 76 per month for the six-monthly period between February 1, 2003 and July 31, 2003.

LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh government has increased the DA payable to industrial workers by Rs 76 per month for the six-monthly period between February 1, 2003 and July 31, 2003.
An official spokesman said here on Wednesday the DA has been raised for the workers engaged in establishments such as rubber and tyre-tube manufacturing units, plastic manufacturing units, aerated drink/fruit juice units, plywood units, petrol pumps, dairies, ready-made garment units, units constructing bunds/embankments, irrigation projects, planning of wells and ponds, private shops of medical equipments, foundry units and engineering units manufacturing metal/tin plates, printing units.
The order will cover the units having less than 50 workers, he said.
The unskilled, semi-skilled and skilled workers, drawing monthly basic wages of Rs 1323, Rs 1550 and Rs 1781, will get a monthly dearness allowance of Rs 828, he added.
