Union Budget 2025: Enhanced cost norms for Saksham Anganwadi & Poshan 2.0 programs announced

In the Union Budget 2025-26, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced that the cost norms for nutritional support programs like Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0 will be enhanced.

Presenting her eighth consecutive budget on Saturday, Sitharaman highlighted that these programs provide vital nutritional support to over 8 crore children, 1 crore pregnant and lactating women, and 20 lakh adolescent girls, particularly in aspirational districts and the northeastern region.

"The cost norms for these nutritional support programs will be enhanced accordingly," she said, underscoring the government's commitment to improving the health and well-being of vulnerable populations across the country.
