Textiles Minister Santosh Gangwar anounces Rs 200 crore handicraft mega cluster for Varanasi

VARANASI: Union Textiles Minister Santosh Gangwar today announced a handicraft mega cluster worth Rs 200 crore for Varanasi.

He also announced another mega cluster for carpet sector of Bhaodhi and Mirzapur districts here along with opening of a sub-centre of NIFT, Rae Bareli in Varanasi.

The minister took the decision on opening of sub-centre of NIFT here on the demands of members of 'Eastern UP Exporters Association' today.

The minister was also handed over a memorandum of demands for the benefits of textiles exporters and weavers of Varanasi and adjoining areas by the association members.
