Suspected Maoists set 20 vehicles on fire near a bauxite mine site
LOHARDAGGA: Suspected Maoists set ablaze around 20 vehicles, including 16 trucks, near a bauxite mine site in Lohardagga district, a senior police officer said today.

Superintendent of police Manoj Ratan Choutey said a group of suspected Maoists set the vehicles on fire near bauxite mine site under Kisko police station area yesterday.

Non-payment of levy seems to be the reason behind the incident, he said, adding, that a police team have rushed to the spot to investigate the matter. Some of the trucks were laden with minerals, he said.
