Sell-off panel seeks borrower details from PFC

NEW DELHI: The disinvestment commission, which is currently in the process of firming up its recommendations on disinvestment of Power Finance Corporation, has sought borrower-specific details from the power lending agency.
The commission has asked the Corporation to provide details of borrowers for the past couple of years. The details would enable the panel to establish the sustainability of the single sector lending agency in view of impending reforms in the electricity sector.
Sources said the process of reforms has added an element of complexity to the whole issue.
