Rs 166.42 crore disbursed to set up 8,344 units in Baramulla

An amount of Rs 166.42 crore has been disbursed by different financial institutions for establishment of 8,344 income generating units

SRINAGAR: An amount of Rs 166.42 crore has been disbursed by different financial institutions for establishment of 8,344 income generating units in North Kashmir's Baramulla district, a senior government official has said.

District Development Commissioner Baramulla Bashir Ahmad Bhat said advances to the tune of Rs 166.42 crore were made by various banks for establishing 8,344 income generating units in the district till September this fiscal.

He said as a result, 51.19 per cent of the target for disbursements in the district has been achieved.

The official said out of the total amount, Rs 54.51 crore went to the agriculture sector, Rs 50.58 crore to small enterprises and Rs 61.33 crore to beneficiaries in the service sector.
