Report of the Rangarajan panel on oil and gas contracts

(##include msid=2459375,type=9 ##) C Rangarajan, chairman of the prime minister’s economic advisory committee announced on Wednesday the key recommendations of the panel he headed on crucial issues in the oil and gas sector.

The panel was set up after the Comptroller and Auditor General admonished the oil ministry for not enforcing oil and gas contracts effectively. The oil ministry will consider each recommendation and send its own proposal to the cabinet or the empowered group of ministers on gas.
