RBI to collaborate with central banks in Fiji, Belgium and Germany

It has signed MoU with Reserve Bank of Fiji, while the MoUs with National Bank of Belgium and Germany’s Federal Financial Supervisory Authority was inked on March 13 and 15 respectively.

KOLKATA: The Reserve Bank of India has Friday announced that it has signed memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with central banks in Fiji, Belgium and Germany this month to collaborate with each other and share of supervisory information.

It has signed the MoU with Reserve Bank of Fiji on March 05, 2013, while the MoUs with National Bank of Belgium and Germany’s Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht – BaFin) was inked on March 13 and 15 respectively.

The central banks work closely with regulators of other countries to promote cooperation and for sharing of supervisory information. RBI has signed agreements with 15 other central banks so far.
