Chennai: The Central Board of Directors of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Friday reviewed global and domestic challenges, including risks to the economic outlook.

The Board also reviewed various operational areas of the RBI, including the functioning of its Committees and the Ombudsman Scheme.

"The Board in its meeting reviewed the current economic situation, global and domestic challenges, including risks to the economic outlook," the central bank said after the 624th meeting of the Board under the Chairmanship of Governor Sanjay Malhotra.


Deputy Governors Swaminathan J, Poonam Gupta, Shirish Chandra Murmu, Rohit Jain and other Directors of the Board -- Revathy Iyer, Sachin Chaturvedi, Anand Gopal Mahindra and Somanath Sreedhara Panicker -- attended the meeting.
