RBI board meeting reviews economic development

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Thursday reviewed the economic condition of the country at its Central Board of Directors' (CBD) meeting here.

RAIPUR: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Thursday reviewed the economic condition of the country at its Central Board of Directors' (CBD) meeting here.

The CBD of the RBI today reviewed the key economic, monetary and financial development of the country, RBI sources told the media.

The main function of the CBD is to provide overall direction to its affairs and for the first time in RBI history, the meet was organised in Chhattisgarh, sources said.

RBI Governor Y V Reddy chaired the meeting, which began this morning and was attended by Deputy Governors Rakesh Mohan and Usha Thorat among others, they said.

The meetings of the central board of RBI are held every year in four metro cities Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai.
