Ramesh Abhishek takes charge as new DIPP Secretary

NEW DELHI: Senior IAS officer Ramesh Abhishek today took charge as the new secretary in the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP).

Abhishek took over the charge from incumbent Amitabh Kant, who retires yesterday to join as Niti Aayog Chief Executive Officer.

Several initiatives such as government ambitious 'Make in India' and 'Startup India' are underway in the DIPP.
