Financial and Economic Affairs Secretary Rajiv Mehrishi has been appointed as India's Alternate Governor on the Board of Governors of Asian Development Bank.

NEW DELHI: Financial and Economic Affairs Secretary Rajiv Mehrishi has been appointed as India's Alternate Governor on the Board of Governors of Asian Development Bank.

"Rajiv Mehrishi, Finance Secretary and Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs (DEA), Ministry of Finance, Government of India has been appointed as India's Alternate Governor on the Board of Governors of the Asian Development Bank," an official release said today.

His appointment on the board of governors of ADB comes to effect from October 30, 2014. He replaced former Finance Secretary Arvind Mayaram, the release said.
