'Rajasthan for eco-tourism policy'

Rajasthan's forest minister Laxmi Narayan Dave on Saturday said his ministry has formulated an eco-tourism policy.

UDAIPUR: Rajasthan's forest minister Laxmi Narayan Dave on Saturday said his ministry has formulated an eco-tourism policy.

Talking to mediapersons here, he said proposals to this effect will be put before the Cabinet for approval.

Conservation of forests is an impossible task without participation of public, he said.

Abhijeet Ghosh, Chief Conservator of Forests, said nearly 2,500 development committees are working in the state to ensure public participation for conservation programmes.

The forest department will be observing a 'Van Mahotsav' on Sunday at Sajjangarh sanctuary, he said.
