Government to scrap Press Note 18

KOLKATA: The government has decided to abolish the restrictive provision of Press Note 18 for all future joint ventures with foreign partners, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said on Wednesday.

Announcing this here while inaugurating the CII Partnership Summit, he said it was a regulatory provision that had been a source of some discomfort for investors.
