PFC empanells 96 IT Implementation Agencies
PFC, as nodal agency for ‘Restructured Accelerated Power Development and Reform Programme (R-APDRP), has empanelled 96 IT Implementation Agencies for implementing the IT-related schemes in utilities across country.

NEW DELHI: PFC, as the nodal agency for ���Restructured Accelerated Power Development and Reform Programme (R-APDRP), has empanelled 96 IT Implementation Agencies for implementing the IT-related schemes in the utilities across the country.
The Corporation has earlier appointed 20 IT Consultants for providing services to the utilities. This is the first time in the history of Indian Power Sector that the concept of empanelment of IT Consultants and IT Implementation Agencies has been undertaken to handhold and guide the power utilities from concept-to-commissioning for facilitating reduction of AT&C losses to a never-before level of 15% through strengthening & up-gradation of Sub-Transmission and Distribution network.
R-APDRP, a flagship programme of the Govt of India having a total outlay of Rs 51,577 crores, aims at early implementation with actual demonstrable performance in terms of sustained loss reduction.
It is expected that these IT Consultants and IT Implementation Agencies will help make the programme a grand success.
