The Punjab government was not considering any proposal to privatise State Roadways, Minister for Transport Ramesh Dutt said on Sunday.

MOGA: The Punjab government was not considering any proposal to privatise State Roadways, Minister for Transport Ramesh Dutt said on Sunday.
In order to provide better transport facilities the government would soon add 250 new buses to the existing fleet at a cost of Rs 20 crore, he told newsmen here.
The minister claimed the result of the state government''s drive against corruption was appreciated by every section of society.
He accused the Centre of meting out "step motherly treatment" by the centre to Punjab.
"It is unfortunate that the centre is not allowing Punjab government to clear the Rs 475 crore sugar stock lying with the sugar mills", he said.
