No plan to restore Old Pension Scheme: Centre

The Centre on Monday told Parliament that it is not considering any proposal to restore the old pension scheme for central government employees.

"No proposal is under consideration of the Government for restoration of OPS in respect of Central Government employees," Minister of State for Finance, Pankaj Chaudhary told Lok Sabha.

The Centre had set up a committee under the chairmanship of the Finance Secretary to look into the issue of Pensions under the National Pension System (NPS) in respect of government employees.
