Pawan Hans will be the second company under the aviation ministry that the government will privatise.
The government today said that they have received multiple interests for state-owned helicopter operator Pawan Hans Ltd after several failed attempts to sell the company in the past.

“Multiple expressions of interest have been received for privatisation of Pawan Hans Limited. The transaction will now move to the second stage,” the Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM) said on Twitter today.

The government, however, did not clarify further on the number of bids received for the helicopter operator company.

Pawan Hans will be the second company under the aviation ministry that the government will privatise. The other company that is being privatised is national carrier Air India that is in the process of being privatised.

While Air India is a loss making company, Pawan Hans is a profit-making company and is country’s largest helicopter operator.
