MP govt to ensure soyabean crop protection

Madhya Pradesh government decides to protect soyabean crop from caterpillar attack and provide compensation to the affected farmers.

BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has directed Chief Secretary to ensure protection of soyabean crop from caterpillar attack and provide compensation to the affected farmers.

Reviewing the situation of soyabean crop in the state yesterday, Chouhan asked the authorities to conduct a survey to assess the extent of damage and take steps for controlling it, a release issued here said.

He directed district collectors to send him a report of the survey from their respective areas so that proper steps could be taken to provide adequate compensation to farmers.
