GUWAHATI: The Meghalaya Directorate of Employment and Craftsmen Training and Ajmal Foundation have signed an MoU on Skill Training Development for selected unemployed educated youths of the state.

The MoU was signed between Meghalaya Director of Employment and Craftsmen B Hajong and Ajmal Foundation Manager Khasrul Islam at Shillong yesterday, Islam said here today.

Ajmal Foundation would provide skill training in different trades such as hospitality, BPO and others at three skill training centres established for this purpose, he said.

Immediately after the training programme, the Foundation would arrange placement opportunities for the trained youths.

Assocham India had awarded the certificate of merit in the category 'Best NGO-Skill Development' to Ajmal Foundation this year giving it a pan-India recognition in skill training and livelihood mission in the list of similar NGOs of the country.
