Mobile, Internet equipment to cost less

Specified infrastructure equipment for basic/cellular/internet, V-SAT, radio paging and public mobile radio trunked services and parts of such equipment are being exempted from basic customs duty.
On raw materials used for manufacture of electronic components or optical fibres and cables, customs duty, which ranged between 5-15 per cent, has now been reduced to 5-0 per cent.
