'Make in India' goes global: PM Modi to pitch India as manufacturing destination in Hannover
NEW DELHI: In a bid to push the ' Make in India' initiative to the global level, Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA government plans to pitch India as a manufacturing destination at the World International Fair in Germany's Hannover, reported ET Now.

According to ET Now, PM Modi will participate in the event in April, where he is likely to showcase India as a business friendly destination. The decision comes within days of India showcasing the 'Make in India' initiative in Davos.

To bring PM Modi's ambitious programme to this annual gathering of the global elite, the India Brand Equity Foundation (IBEF)) decided to discontinue the earlier name 'India Adda' from its lounge that is set up every year in the famous Davos landmark of Schneider Cafe.

German companies welcomed the changed market sentiments in India and 'The Make in India' initiative of the new government to attract foreign businesses to invest and manufacture in the country.

Participating in a business summit in Frankfurt, several business leaders expressed optimism in forging ties with India in areas like electronics, pharmaceuticals and renewable energy sectors.

The panelists, representing leading German companies, reflected the collective optimism of the German industry on the changed market sentiments with respect to the Indian economy.
