Madhya Pradesh government sets up Laghu Udyog Samvardhan Board

State's Commerce, Industries and Employment Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia has been appointed as Chairman of the Laghu Udyog Samvardhan Board (LUSB), an official release said.
LUSB's official members would include Mohd Suleman, MP Principal Secretary Commerce, Industries and Employment, D P Ahuja, Commissioner of Industries, Managing Director (MD), Trade and Investment Facilitation Corporation Ltd (TRIFAC) and Anupam Rajan, Managing Director of the Laghu Udyog Nigam.
Its non-official members would include chairpersons of the Madhya Pradesh Laghu Udyog Sangh, Laghu Udyog Bharti, PHD Chambers of Commerce & Industries, besides Associated Chamber of Commerce (Assocham), Confederation of Industries (CII) Madhya Pradesh, Association of Industries Madhya Pradesh, All-India Manufacturing Organisation, Madhya Pradesh Association of Women Entrepreneurs and Federation of Chamber of Commerce and Industries, he said.
The government has also inducted five non-official nominated members from other industries associations, while the Director of MSME Industries has been appointed as Member- Secretary of the LUSB, he said.
The LUSB would give advice and suggestions to augment MSMEs and solve industries' problems, he said.
It is scheduled to present its recommendations to an apex committee headed by the MP Chief Minister, he said.
The newly constituted LUSB is expected to meet on a quarterly basis, he said.
