LDF Govt to bring in revised budget

The LDF Government in Kerala would bring in a revised budget during the assembly sittings to be held from June 16 to 30, Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan said on Wednesday.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The LDF Government in Kerala would bring in a revised budget during the assembly sittings to be held from June 16 to 30, Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan said on Wednesday.
The assembly session, which was adjourned after swearing-in of newly elected MLAs last week, would resume with the policy address of the Governor, he told reporters.
The previous UDF Government had presented the state budget for 2006-07 and a vote-on-account for first quarter expenses in February before the assembly elections were announced.
However, the House then did not pass the Finance Bill giving effect to the budgetary proposals.
