Lapses in food security bill to be removed, says Raosaheb Danve
Danve said that the BJP had picked loopholes in the Bill when it was discussed in Parliament and demanded their removal, but the UPA government did not listen.

"Loopholes in the Act will be removed," he said, adding that a meeting presided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be held on June 4 on this issue.
Danve said that the BJP had picked loopholes in the Bill when it was discussed in Parliament and demanded their removal, but the UPA government did not listen.
Danve said that he appreciated the Food Security Act, which covers 80 per cent population, but he alleged that the Maharashtra government has failed to implement the Act, since the poor and the needy have not received foodgrains.
He also accused leaders of the Congress-NCP alliance of being partial about granting aid to hailstorm affected farmers in the state.
