Job quotas, incentives for Haryana land displaced
Haryana Chief Minister announces job quotas and other incentives for those whose lands were acquired for setting up SEZ and for housing projects.
An additional Rs 10,000 a year per acre would be given for 33 years for land sold to Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation or Haryana Urban Development Authority after March 5, 2005 when the Congress assumed office, he said
He also decided to reserve 25 per cent jobs for farmers and landless workers whose lands in the villages were acquired for industrial purposes.
Addressing a rally in this Sonepat district town, Hooda asked Chief ministers of other states to "implement the Bhagidari Scheme keeping in view the farmers' welfare".
He said all families in the state would get employment opportunities with the number of "innovative schemes" including setting up of new industries.
It had been decided to give two CFL bulbs worth Rs 200 to every family living Below the Poverty Line in urban and rural areas and waiving off surcharge of domestic consumers in urban centres paid their electricity bills, the chief minister said.
He said "safai karamchari" would be appointed for every 2,000 people in rural areas to ensure sanitation and announced a 50-bed hospital and a Rs 4 crore canal for Gohana.
Hooda said his government was in talks with the Railways Ministry for laying of rail tracks between Rewar and Rohtak via Jhajjar and Sonepat and Jind via Gohana.
