J&K TDC announces DA for employees

With Jammu & Kashmir Tourism Development Corporation achieving its financial targets, the state government has released Dearness Allowance in favour of its employees.

SRINAGAR: With Jammu & Kashmir Tourism Development Corporation achieving its financial targets, the state government has released Dearness Allowance in favour of its employees.

Appreciating the work of JKTDC employees, state Tourism Minister Ghulam Hassan Mir, announced the release of 34 slabs of Cost of Living Allowance (dearness allowance) instalments, in favour of the employees on the occasion of Independence Day on Monday.

The JKTDC was able to pay off liabilities amounting Rs 6.84 crore, Mir said, adding the corporation should focus on development of infrastructure which is the greatest need in today's competitive market.

The minister also introduced Annual Best Officer of the year award and Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC) for JKTDC.

The minister said upgradation of SKICC should be taken up immediately and consultants of international repute be engaged to achieve world class standards.
