JD(U) urges Centre to release special package for industrialisation in Puducherry
JD(U) today requested the Centre to release a special package to industrial entrepreneurs setting up units ere to adequately rehabilitate unemployed youth.

President of JD(U) local unit A Saravanan in a release here said that that job opportunities in government sector were becoming scarce and only industrialisation could provide relief to educated unemployed youth.
He also said that a Global Investors Meet could also be held in Union Territory to lure investors by tapping the potential available in this former French colony.
He sought a special package of incentives, including total exemption from income tax for entrepreneurs running units in Puducherry, effective implementation of the `Make in India` programme, 50 per cent power subsidy, establishment of an Special Export Zone and simplification of procedures to sanction permission for industrial entrepreneurs.
These measures would go a long way to promote industries and generate job opportunities for youth, he said.
