NEW DELHI: Finance Minister Jaswant Singh on Wednesday ruled out any interim budget to provide tax sops, but promised a relook at the recent ordinance to deal with non-performing assets, saying the government''s intention was not expropriatory.
"No, there will be no interim budget," Singh told reporters, setting at rest speculation that the government might come out with tax sops in view of improved revenue collections and his utterances that he would put more money in the pockets of citizens.
