Jan-Dhan Yojana, Make in India have pushed growth: Chaudhary Birender Singh

BIKANER: Highlighting the achievements of the Narendra Modi government, Union Rural Development Minister Chaudhary Birender Singh today said programmes like Jan-Dhan Yojana, Mudra Yojana and Make in India have pushed growth and overall development in the country.

Interacting with beneficiaries of various development schemes at an event to mark the completion of two years of the NDA government, Singh said lakhs of people have been linked with banking facility across the country under the Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojna which has strengthen the economy.

"When India is strong, countries like China will lag behind," he said.

The minister said that products manufactured by women's self-help groups would be given priorities in commercial centres to be set up in proposed smart cities so as to strengthen the rural economy.

BJP MP Anurag Thakur, Rajasthan Water Resources Minister Ram Pratap and others were present at the event.

Thakur said the government has looked after the farmers well and gave compensation for damage to their crops.

He said that 14 crore people have been covered under the Prime Minister's Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojna.
