Investor-friendly fertiliser policy on cards

NEW DELHI: The Centre is planning to review the present fertiliser policy as it has not been successful in bringing investment to the sector, the Rajya Sabha was informed on Friday.
“The existing policy has not been successful in attracting investments to the sector,” minister of state for chemicals and fertilisers BK Handique said in a written reply. He said in view of the projected improvement in availability of gas in future and limitations of the current policy, a review of the existing policy is under consideration of the government.
