KOLKATA: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India ( ICAI) today said a list of suggestions were being prepared by it to be given to the Union Finance ministry for helping the government tide over the current economic crisis.

ICAI president Subodh Kumar Agarwal said that a seven-member group has been formed which would give its interim report to the government in the next ten days.

"We will give suggestions on how to handle the fiscal deficit and current account deficit. We will also give recommendations for some fiscal reforms which are needed for the growth of the economy," Agarwal told reporters here.

The report would be submitted to the Prime Minister and Finance minister in Delhi.

Meanwhile, President Pranab Mukherjee is expected to inaugurate the Institute's three-day international member conference to be held from November 21 in Kolkata, he said.
