Hike in DAP fertilizer subsidy, approval to deep ocean mission among key cabinet decisions

The union cabinet approved a proposal to roll out a "Deep Ocean Mission" to explore the deep ocean for resources and develop deep-sea technologies. It also approved a Rs 700 per bag hike in subsidy for DAP fertiliser resulting in an additional cost of Rs 14,775 crore to the exchequer.
