Govt extends tenure of Ravindra Dholakia-led committee on state, district accounts
The tenure of the committee setup last year, is extended for a period of one year from June 25, 2019.

The Committee for Sub-National Accounts will hold discussions with state governments and experts “before standards can be evolved for the compilation of the regional accounts,” the ministry said in a notification.

It was constituted to review the concepts, definitions, classifications, data conventions, data sources and data requirements for preparation of SDP and DDP and suggest state level annual benchmark surveys in view of the next base year revision of national accounts.
“The committee will submit its interim report within three months, a draft report within further three months and the final recommendations within one year,” the ministry said.
