Govt clears 44 FDI proposals

NEW DELHI: The government on Friday cleared 44 Foreign Direct Investment proposals worth Rs 180 crore, recommended by the Foreign Investment Promotion Board.
The major investment proposals, cleared by Finance Minister Jaswant Singh, pertain to road transport and highways, food processing industries, information and broadcasting, information technology, power and textiles, as per an official statement.
