The government on Thursday has appointed CKG Nair as the Securities Appellate Tribunal member for five years.

MUMBAI: The government on Thursday has appointed CKG Nair as the Securities Appellate Tribunal member for five years.

"The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal for appointment of Dr CKG Nair, adviser in the department of economic affairs as member in the Securities Appellate Tribunal (SAT)..w.e.f the date of assumption of charge of the post, for a period of five years or till the age of 62 years or until further orders,whichever is the earliest," said a notification from the government.

Nair has replaced A S Lamba who retired in mid-march. The other two members are presiding officer Justice J P Devadhar and Jog Singh.
