Goa Cabinet approves computerised online lottery scheme

The Goa Cabinet on Monday approved the launching of state's online computerised weekly lottery scheme and the tenders for it would be floated within the next fortnight.

PANAJI: The Goa Cabinet on Monday approved the launching of state''s online computerised weekly lottery scheme and the tenders for it would be floated within the next fortnight.
Briefing reporters after the Cabinet meeting, Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar said that in principle it has been decided to float the lottery scheme but the details were yet to be worked out.
It was also decided to utilise the entire proceeds earned from the scheme for the benefit of social sector, Parrikar said adding, during the first year the state expected to earn between Rs 20-25 crore from it.
