FM Nirmala Sitharaman reviews BRICS Finance Track outcomes ahead of Mumbai meet

New Delhi, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Monday chaired a meeting with senior officials of the Department of Economic Affairs to review key outcomes of the BRICS Finance Track and preparations for the upcoming meeting of BRICS Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors in Mumbai.

The final Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors meeting is scheduled to be held in Mumbai on September 9-10, ahead of the BRICS Leaders' Summit.

The meeting follows the successful gathering of finance ministers and central bank governors in Jaipur last month.


Preparations for the Mumbai meeting are now underway, with a strong team of women leaders bringing their expertise and experience to the BRICS Finance Track.

The Finance Track is being guided by the theme, 'Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability'.
