Finmin may hike cash withdrawal limit to Rs 25k

The Finance Ministry has favoured a hike in the limit on cash withdrawals from Rs 10,000 to Rs 25,000. If the proposal goes through, a 0.1% tax may be levied on withdrawals exceeding Rs 25,000 a day.
