Exporters disappointed with RBI Monetary policy

Tirupur Exporters Association today expressed disappointment with the RBI's Mid-Quarter Monetary Policy review, saying there was no announcement on interest rate cut, which was the need of the hour.

COIMBATORE: Tirupur Exporters Association today expressed disappointment with the RBI's Mid-Quarter Monetary Policy review, saying there was no announcement on interest rate cut, which was the need of the hour.

In a release, A.Sakthivel, President, TEA said the interest rate cut was a major requirement for Tirupur Knitwear exporting units to withstand the pricing pressures coming from all corners and sustain in the global market.

He also expressed disappointment that the requisition for a Separate Chapter for Exports has been not addressed in this review also.
