Expenditure Committee approves seven projects in Delhi
The Expenditure Finance Committee of Delhi Government today gave nod to seven projects worth Rs 347 crore including four related to PWD and one each to power, land and building and flood control departments.
The projects were cleared in an EFC meeting presided over by Finance Minister A K Walia. Walia told reporters after the meeting that Rs 126.18 crore has been sanctioned for supply, erection, testing and commissioning of complete civil works regarding automation of 400/220/66 KV sub-station at Mundka village in West Delhi.
"The project has been approved with an aim to meet the increased power requirements in the areas of West Delhi as well as to provide supply to DMRC for their extension route in Mundka and the industrial area being developed in Swarn Park, Udyog Nagar," he added. The project will be executed on turnkey basis within 24 months from the date of award of work. Walia expressed confidence that commissioning would be completed within stipulated time to ensure adequate power supply in the area and facilitate plying of Metro Rail.
"The EFC has also approved Rs 9.67 crore for widening of 600-metre part of Eastern Approach road of ISBT Bridge from three lane to four lane. The project would be completed within 21 months," Walia said.
