EPFO to issue Social Security Number to its members

MUMBAI: Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has decided to issue unique Social Security Number (SSN) to its members.

EPFO proposes to collect data from its members using proprietory software which has been developed for this purpose, EPFO, Mumbai release issued today said.

For collecting data from its members, EPFO has called for Expression of Interest (EoI) from interested parties. The last date for submission of EoI is October 30.
